What to Bring

Family Camp: Items to Pack

  • Casual clothes: shorts/pants/t-shirts/sweatshirts/sweater (remember it is late August in NYS)
  • Socks/underwear (sufficient quantity)
  • Tennis shoes/sneakers/sandals (for safety reasons, footwear is required at all times).
  • Boots for muddy areas and hiking.
  • Raingear/windbreaker
  • Bathing suit. (See below for guidance on swimwear.)
  • Pillow and sleeping bag or blankets and sheets
  • Flashlight/batteries
  • Gallon-sized zip-loc bags for making ice
  • Art smock for arts and crafts
  • Pajamas (depending on forecast, heavy and/or light)
  • Laundry bag/detergent/dryer sheets (laundry facility is available in the Keeler House, lower level)
  • Towels (bath/facial/beach)
  • Toiletries – toothbrush/toothpaste/soap/shampoo/deodorant/brush/hair dryer/etc.
  • Prescription and over-the-counter medication/sunscreen/insect spray/tissues
  • Water bottle
  • Folding chair(s)
  • Cell phones (there is no PA system – we will use cell phones in case of emergency, thunderstorm warning, etc.)
  • Medical forms
  • Bug Repellent

Little Ones

  • Port-a-crib or playpen, high chair, stroller, baby monitor

What Not to Pack

  • Stereos/TV’s
  • Electronic games
  • Skateboards/in-line skates
  • Pocket knives
  • Any items of high personal or monetary value

Optional Items

  • Camera
  • Snacks and beverages for your family (sealed containers). There is a kitchenette in every cabin.
    • NOTE: There is no ice machine on site so please make sure none of your items need constant refrigeration.  If you do have items that need constant refrigeration please indicate that on your registration form and arrangements can be made.
  • Nightlight
  • Child-safe fan
  • Card games/board games/baseball glove/Frisbee/etc.
  • Musical instruments (guitar etc.)
  • Journal/pen (for workshop notes)
  • Earplugs (some people are heavy snorers)
  • Fishing pole and tackle (catch & release)
  • Decorations (Christmas lights etc.) for the outside of cabins (optional, but fun!)
